Abram left Haron when 75 years of age….Genesis 12:4
So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him.
And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.
The promise made to Abram…..Genesis 15:12-16
His children 400 years and 4 generations
Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, horror and great darkness fell upon him. Then He said to Abram: “Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is now theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years…..16. “But in the fourth generation they shall return here,…

Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Ishmael to Abram.
Abraham was 100 when Isaac was born….Genesis 21:5
Now Abraham was one hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.

427 (years from flood to leaving Haran)
Add the 400/430 years promise from (Genesis 15:12-16, Exodus 12:40 & Acts 7:6) to 427 = 857 years until the children of Israel left Egypt.
Both these periods, the 400 and the 430 can be harmonized if the 430 years are counted from the call of Abraham, at 75 years old, and if the 400 years are reckoned from 30 years later, that is about the time when Isaac, as a small child, began to be persecuted by Ishmael after he was confirmed as the “seed” (Gen. 21:8-12) The Hebrew people called themselves both the “seed of Abraham” and the “children of Israel,” and Paul evidently interpreted the second phrase, used in Ex. 12:40, as meaning the first.
There were 4 generations spent in Egypt Genesis 15:12-16
